I just got the DT770s about a month ago and I love them! They're the first pair of audiophile grade headphones I've ever owned. I also bought the E10K for them and they work perfectly together. My only complaint is that I can't get them loud enough for my taste with this amp if I EQ them; but I prefer the way they sound without an EQ so it's not too big of a deal.

If I'm being honest, my Cloud IIs shown here also sound great with the E10K; especially when EQing them. They're easy to drive/get loud enough. I mainly just use them for the mic though, and the DT770s for music. I'm happy with this setup so far!

PS: Sorry for remaking this post a couple times, I'm pretty picky with things. :D

my old e10k got my dt770 80 ohms to deafening levels, it's never fun to talk about but be careful with you ears. loads of us haven't been and regret it immensely

Oh yeah, they definitely get loud enough without an equalizer. Volume is only a problem when I use EqualizerAPO/Peace because I feel like I have to turn the preamp down a lot for the "peak gain" to not be above 0.0 dB. Again, it's not too big of a deal. I'll try to be careful though. I'm honestly not careful enough with the volume sometimes, it's pretty stupid of me lol

Does the hard edge cut into the headband material or leave marks? Maybe some kind of soft material might prevent that. Maybe it’s fine. Looks cool!!

Thankfully the edges on the stand aren't sharp enough to do that and they don't dig into the headband at all, but I get having that impression by looking at the picture. It's nothing that would harm the headphones. Also, thanks!! :)

That's cool! I hope you end up liking them like I did. The treble/sibilance can take some getting used to lol

ever since i got my first headphone, monoprice retro, i realised i like sparkly treble! and lately i have been enjoying subbass too, so theoretically they should be a good fit

Well that's good to hear, I'm sure you'll end up liking them then! I actually ended up liking the treble, it can seem a bit sharp at times but it doesn't really bother me too much. To be fair, my Cloud IIs have a similar effect so maybe I'm just used to it lol
