I don't think it's a mistake, there's something going on at Monoprice headphones. Monoprice EU is not trading and their ebay account is no longer around - this has happened in the last week.

I don't know. I just bought M1070 (UK £210 incl P&P) and noticed they only accepted Paypal, no debit/credit card. I don't know if that is relevant at all.

Goddamnit. I just ordered this. Going from the 560s to this, since I'm in the market for a closed back and I was hoping to try a planar. My upgrade path to edition XS and trying a (good) closed back might have been completely upended.
There's basically no reviews of this on this subreddit or on YouTube. Barely any internet articles, and a small 5 page thread on head fi. But the rest of monoprice's lineup reviews well, and this is a killer deal.

Good job! You will want to make or buy a strap for them (I'll post measurements when I get them) to get the weight off the top of your skull. The M1070 hurt my head after just a few minutes. I've made straps out of sham-wow and zipties and it is important.

They are huge and heavy but quite confortable. The cable is horrible. The sound is boring af. I feel like it would be a good monitoring headphones but not an enjoyable one. Altought, the closed back competition at this price is non existent, it would be a big recommendation at that price and EQ the parts you don't like

The money was taken out of my account at some point this morning (was able to pay using my card) but still no email to confirm the order.
I doubt they will cancel it. Seems like there are a lot of things going on sale on their site. M1070 is on sale today.

I have 80 ohm 96 db/mw DT 770's as the closest analogy and the DT770's definitely helps with an amp when portable. Fine for YouTube browsing but not enough for music. I had a XD-05 Basic that worked fine with them a couple years ago.

I going to bite. I haven't heard anything about the M1570C. I know they are heavy as a brick and that stupid mini XLR pinout is stupid, but for $185 I'm going to try it. Review coming soon.
