I have the Galaxy Buds 2 Pros, and I just can't get used to having ANC on. It's irritating in a way where it tickles my eardrums and creates a general uneasy unsettling feeling. I get an urge to constantly swallow as if to equalize pressure in my ears. But it does nothing and slowly it drives me nuts.

I also literally feel my eardrums vibrating and resonating in a ticklish way. Does anyone else experience this? I've never tried any other ANC headset, so I don't know if it's just these. But I am generally more sensitive than average to annoying textures and sounds.

ANC basically creates the opposite waveform to neutralize the environmental noice. It. Would differ on implementation. It might get her in ears aren’t for you for anc.

Not all ANC is created equal and it's not uncommon to feel the pressure of the negative sound that is actively cancelling the outside world. I've had a few headphones where this has bothered me (never used the Buds2), but many others where it is fine. For example, AirPods Pro 2 do not induce the negative pressure effect for me at all, but a previous pair of Beats Studio's made me uncomfortable after a while (or if I had music paused for a period of time with ANC active).

You could be extra sensitive to the effect, you may acclimatise to it over time, but I would also suggest you try some other ANC headsets / earbuds if you can - that might give you a clue as to your personal level of sensitivity.

Same here. I wish the market has more options for the non-anc models

At least I don't feel like I'm missing out with wired IEMs that lack ANC lol

If you’re going about your daily routine or you take the bus/live in the city, less is more. I find apple products have the most pleasing ANC to my ears. They don’t make my ears feel uncomfortable and I can still hear loud sounds around me. I’m terms of “most potent” ANC, I’d give it to Sony. If you’re not enjoying the galaxy buds, I’d highly suggest not going anything Sony related. I only use mine when I’m traveling by plane, nothing else. It honestly works too well lmao.

ANC makes me feel like I have a cold. Like my sinuses are blocked.
