Good place to start is the budget IEM realm. Competition has been crazy intense recently and the entire sub-$100 price-range has been completely overturned several times at this point.

If you don't want any cable, the route of using Fiio UTWS3 paired with any IEM is pretty great, since it will open whole new selections to pick.

final ZE8000 is pretty great too.

Yeah you'll get superior quality and build with iem cans. Even with earbuds you get great bang for buck.
