I just bought The Sundaras and Fiio K7 to pair it with. I want to use them balanced so I go looking for a balanced cable and found 2 options on Hart Audio.

First one is 3.5mm https://hartaudiocables.com/collections/hifiman/products/custom-dual-3-5mm-trs-balanced-headphone-cable

And second 2.5mm https://hartaudiocables.com/collections/hifiman/products/custom-dual-2-5mm-balanced-headphone-cable

So which one should I get? Are there any differences?

Those are for the terminations that plug into the headphones. You need a 3.5mm for the Sundara, and then select a 2.5mm TRRS as the single end termination for balanced.

I have used this cable for nearly 2 years with my Sundaras. They are soft, tangle free and have a good fit. They use 2x 3.5mm to the cans and terminate in a 4.4mm plug for your source. Picture of the cable.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend checking out Fog City Audio's shop for this. They have cables for a ton of different headphone brands that can be customized by length, end connection, and even a bunch of color patterns. I recently ordered a 4.4mm balanced cable from them for my Arya Stealths, and it's just wonderful. They're braided too, so quite flexible with pretty much no fuss compared to some stock cables.

Yes, one has a 3.5 mm TRS the other a 2.5

So one will fit in the earcup and the other won't.

As you do have the Sundaras, measure the current jack that go into the earcup. My guess is 3.5 https://hifiman.com/products/detail/286 but make sure before you order.

Have it terminated with a mini XLR and order a mini XLR to 4.4 pentagon as well.

The fun of the mini XLR is that Hart offers all kind of adapter making it possible to connect to anything https://hartaudiocables.com/collections/hacable-kit

Uhm the Balanced port is 4.4mm on the K7 so your balanced cable should terminate in a 4.4mm connector

You want the 3.5mm because that's what the Sundara uses. Then pick 4.4mm TRRRS as the termination for your Fiio K7.
