Realistically there shouldn't be much if any difference in sound at all if both aren't using any effect. But UAPP is definitely worth it for me, specifically for the features it provide. And after the UI change some times back, I think it is the best music player on android now.

Super inexpensive too all things considered in the headphone scene. I think i picked it up at like $5
