Kato is my first and only IEM and I still prefer it to similarly priced and more expensive IEMs I've tried, except one.

IE600: the most technically capable single DD IEM according to some people, but to my ears the bass is too boomy and the treble peak is crazy.

U12T: best all rounder IEMs to some people, but the upper treble just kills it for me.

EXT: lack of upper mid makes the IEM sound unengaging and unnatural

Variations: great mids and treble, but the bass is too much for me

Zen Pro: too much mid bass and upper treble, a bit metallic sounding

Diva: the exception; great tuning and very natural sound with excellent separation. If I want an upgrade, it'll be this IEM.

So, tuning > technicalities all the way for me and since I'm (apparently) very treble sensitive, a nonlinear treble is the biggest and most common deal breaker for me.

I like my Starfield and DUNU Vernus more than my B2:Dusk.

Dusk has a very lean tonality and sounds sibilant at higher volumes.

Don't get me wrong, the Dusk is a good IEM but I don't understand why people go bananas when one pops for sale on the second hand market? I got mine second hand only because I found a listing on head.fi 5 minutes after it dropped, someone PM'd 20 minutes after I snagged the listing.

BTW, Vernus is just a slightly retuned Falcon Pro, I was very lucky to get one given it had a run of only 100.

I like my og zsn better than my tin t3 (and Sony xm4). It's really good. Idk if it's burn in. I'm using them for a while.

I prefer TANGZU Zetian Wu to Yanyin Moonlight which I could test for a while. I was biased to planar timbre but TANGZU made a great sounding IEM for a much greater price. I like them much more than S12 which are just too clinical and bright to me.

How is the fit for you with the Zetian Wu’s? I was considering them because they seem to fit my sound preferences

To my surprise fit is great despite of the bigger shell. There are smaller one which doesn't give this good comfort.

Tingo TC200 a miniature version of the KSC75. But damn the vocals are so much more well presented.

Cons : not good to lie down with both :(

The Massdrop Plus might still to this day have my favorite tuning I’ve heard in an IEM.

The Monarch 2 is slowly taking its place but man the Massdrop Plus tuning is just so pleasing to my ears.

DUNU SA6. I listen to it more than all my IEMs costing twice as much combined.

I prefer the sound of the SSR to my IE100 pros. Its just got a nicer quality about it, albeit after a bit of eq.
