I've had my HD 600s for a couple of weeks now and they sound great, but my ears are touching the foam pad on top of the drivers. This has been causing me pain and I was wondering if anyway else has had this issue and how they fixed it. Help would be appreciated.

getting pads from dekoni solved my issue with my big dumb ears rubbing up against the foam inside the cups

Thank you for the recommendation, I will definitely look into that.

FYI, any pads that aren't stock negatively affects the FR response of the HD600's. The least egregious ones would probably be these: https://shop.zmfheadphones.com/products/zmf-hd6xx-earpads

Never had 600s but IMO this is a subjective thing. Had absolutely cheap amazon pads that positively affected my 6XXs. Note had to mod to fit of course. Definitely should watch videos about pad swapping on those specific cans and how different materials lean when it comes to FR. Find something that leans the way you personally want the sound to go. As u/Hdjekso says ZMF makes Fantastic pads and while I haven't used them on the sennis I do have the perforated lambskin universe on my Open Alphas. They are great pads for those cans. Good luck in your hunt. To me the pad swap journey is the fun part. Though you can drop a lot of dough on pads if you aren't careful.

I'm curious about those Dekoni pads. Which variant are you using, and how do they affect the sound?

Yeah, the 600 caused me a lot of pain and nausea just from a few minutes of wearing. Dekoni pads are thicker but they will not solve the issue with the clamp force (if you experience that one as well). In my case, nothing I did fixed the issue, so I ended up selling them.

Yeah! the Dekoni pads will stop that happening! I bought my Dekoni's about 4 weeks ago and the difference is night and day. They are expensive in the UK (70 pounds) but totally worth the money!

I use the half leather, half suede! The foam Dekoni use is much more dense than the senneheiser foam so even with the big clamping force of the hd600's it keeps your ears from touching the inner foam on the driver! and to be honest i havn't noticed any sound difference at all!

I found the inner foam touching my ear nice it was soft and comfortable, but I could absolutely see hd600 clamp and it rubbing against skin causing issues for others. to effect the sound as little as possible I'd recommend being the metal on the headband to loosen the clamp to see if makes it not rub so bad, if not then on to dekoni
