Fiio utws5 exists, I don't own one but I own a fiio btr7 and it works great.

AZ09/Pro is a lot cheaper, more comfortable, and will fit his KZ ZS10 Pro a lot better, it's specifically designed for that connector. I doubt there would be any discernable sound difference particularly not on that IEM. I have all of UTWS5, AZ09, AZ09 Pro and ZS10 Pro. If I were him, I'd get the AZ09 Pro.

There's also the FiiO UTWS5 which are like what they posted, but I think are a step up. Not sure how much they want to spend, though.

BTW, I have the BTR7 and wouldn't trade it. Excellent piece of kit.

My man you went "ctrl c, ctrl v" to his comment...

Um, not quite. The first part of my comment was about another device altogether. I also brought up that we don't know how much the OP is willing to spend, since both the IEMs and the Bluetooth connectors they brought up were inexpensive.

Secondly, while my comment on the BTR7 gave it the thumbs up, what I didn't say is that I've gone through three other devices. I've had the Qudelix 5K, the BTR5 and BTR7, and the Ifi GoBlue. The only one that I didn't sell/return was the BTR7 because it provided the best performance and features for the money. And the 5K's big draw (the parametric eq) is partially implemented in the BTR7 as well (although I hope they keep developing it further since the number of bands isn't currently changeable, and they're restricted to peak filters).

The first part of you comment was about the SAME device, that is the UTWS5. They forget to capitalize, that does not change the device.

Secondly, you DIDN'T SAY how you went through 3 other devices. Instead you recommended it, which is fine. The thing is you gave it you thumbs up right under a comment saying THE EXACT SAME THING.

Sigh. You're right. I misread the original comment as the BTR5. My mistake. Boy, don't I feel silly. Especially since I assumed the wrong thing after the initial misreading. Sorry about that.

And yes, I didn't say much about my experiences with the others since they weren't originally mentioned.

when I have it on bluetooth i dont really care a ton about quality and that seems to be a bit too bulky for when i will be on BT

Ok so I’m not sure how genuine you are about the “too bulky” thing, but for me personally, getting that thing out of the packaging and seeing just how compact it actually is in person even compared to what I’d heard was wild.

It truly is so, so tiny. If that’s too bulky you won’t find anything else besides the Fiio adapter things the top comment here mentions.

it's going to be for gym use mopstly and I would prefer to have zero cables tbh. I did see the Fiio suggestions and am getting swayed a bit given the amount of recommendations

BigLorry t1_iuhz9f7 wrote

Ah ok definitely misinterpreted what you were looking for then, yeah if you just want no wires at all but don’t want a TW IEM then the Fiio adaptor is probably your best bet, not sure how secure they are though depending on what you’re doing at the gym

xolhos OP t1_iuhzikr wrote

I just wasnt clear at all tbh. I dont do a lot of cardio in the gym and do it outside where I dont like wearing headphones so they should be fine

With my KZs I use the KZ AZ09 Pro for Bluetooth. You could also use something like the Qudelix 5k or BTR5 but then your IEM is just wired to a wireless adapter. For a standard 2 pin connector IEM I use the Hiby wu1 (also can purchase an mmcx version).

I think i might go with the AZ09, seems decent for the price, thanks!

blorg t1_iuid6x1 wrote

I'd recommend the Pro version over the AZ09, the hooks are more comfortable / better fit and it has AptX as well as AAC if you use Android. I think maybe a bit better connection and stability as well. The OG AZ09 is decent too though, at least in my experience.

Fair shout, I do have android so that might be the best option for me at the moment

they stopped making the 'jabra play' but you might be able to find one someplace. Is just that; a bluetooth 'dongle' for headphones. Its quite small.

The Fiio UTWS5 will give you a better sound quality than the az09 - if definitely check it out.

blorg t1_iuidiex wrote

It's pretty marginal particularly with something like the ZS10 Pro which is extremely sensitive and doesn't need higher power, in fact the less power the better for this IEM. The AZ09 (or the Pro version) will also fit the ZS10 Pro a lot better and will be a lot more comfortable, the UTWS5 won't attach as firmly and the hooks are much larger and less comfortable.

I have all of these items, I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference between the UTWS5 and the AZ09/Pro with the KZ ZS10 Pro.

Outright best true wireless converters will be the UTSW-5 with these. Currently Using the UTWS-1 as I've lost the charging case of my UTWS-3 and the 5 is the latest iteration which I'll receive tomorrow.
