Hey all!

I just recently got my Audeze LCD-i3, and just wow. I'm replacing my Ananda with them, and I couldn't be happier. THey do everythign I wanted to, and have all the tradeoffs I was expecting. Couldn't be happier.

The thing is, as others have said, they are tuned like ass without EQ, which to my understanding is by design. So I was looking into EQing them into different targets to see which target I preferred, and to my understanding Equalizer APO is the way to go.

The thing is, I have to navigate my PC with a screen reader, and I'm not super sure if EQAPO has screen reader support. If it doesn't, however, I can have one of my friends help me out with it. How would I go about EQing my Audeze LCD-i3's on Windows in the least painful and easiest way possible?

I think a cool idea would be to get a Schiit Loki or Lokius. Then you would have some physical knobs you can use to EQ to your preferences whenever you want.

I have the cipher cable but to my understanding I can’t use that with my PC as it’s lightning

I don't know if this will distort your LCD-i3, but you can try. Put this in a .txt and import it into Equalizer APO with Peace GUI. Maybe someone can help you. Need a big amp to power this with tons of EQ. Here, two presets, one that I create, and other that is the presets of AutoEQ project:

I don't know if EQAPO has screen reader support but if you can get it working first, then you can just edit a text file with the desired eq. If you start with a file from another person like oratory it's even easier. It's a plain text file with each frequency, Q factor and the value itself.

Do you perhaps know of any tutorials on how to do this? I know of the oratory sub, Reddit, and I know he publishes some content there, and I know with equalizer a PO you can edit everything in there with a text file, but I’m not really sure how to put all of this together.

You can get old Klark Teknik units on ebay for pretty cheap, the DN360 is the classic model used on some of the biggest gigs ever. But the XTA and BSS ones are also really good.

You wouldn't normally do headphone EQ with a graphic - most people say parametric. But perhaps with a graphic it'll be easier for you to feel the curve by hand.
