Any experience with refurbished headphones? Sennheiser's renewed headphones (both in-ear and over-ear) are at very attractive prices now (link to outlet here) and I'm considering purchasing one (HD 559 or HD 660 S) of them! :)

I want that 559(they'll be my first over the ear Senny's), but it's like $70 on Amazon. So I'll probably just get them from their.

As for your question I see allot of people around here buying refurbished. You should be alright.

If they're refurbished by the manufacturer, they usually have some kind of warranty with them, so you should be fine.

If there is some kind of problem with the refurbishment you would probably notice right away. There is always a small chance of this even when you buy something new. Sennheiser has a good reputation, they wouldn't have that program if they were putting out trash.
