Those EQ presets seem quite unique, interested to see what they do

It is looking pretty good, especially with the EQ focus, and might even beat the other earbuds on the market in sound quality if Moondrop did it well. However, I’d be very worried about the build quality, especially since this is more complex electronic-wise than their wired offerings, which aren’t exactly known for reliability.

Waiting on reviews to hit for this one. Looks promising though.

I'm confused, is ENC another form of ANC? Or ALICE lacks ANC?

Seems like ENC stands for electronic environmental noise cancellation - I’d assume that’s equivalent to ANC?

That might be only for phone calls or not as effective as ANC.

Found this site but it appears to be inconsistent with Moondrop’s marketing materials? Suggests that ENC is passive noise cancellation while Moondrop explicitly state the microphones are for ENC. Could be a call thing like you said, translation discrepancy or could be Electronic Noise Cancellation instead of Environmental. Will have to wait and see.

Yeah looking at this picture:

It's a call-only feature. The 190$ price seems a bit steep considering there's no ANC.

It's pricey but if it actually did Kato sound performance it would be worth it. The Kato is also $190. Many audiophiles would take better sound quality over ANC.

I won't be jumping on this as while I do trust Moondrop sonically for the IEMs their history so far on the electronics/usability side of it with TWS has been a bit spotty.

And you are right that the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro / Buds 2 Pro are strong competition, with both the electronics side and the sonic side. But I think I'd probably put the Kato above for sound, if it did end up doing that.

Equivalent price to the Kato but TWS and with DSP/parametric EQ. If it sounds anywhere near as good as the Kato I own then I’d consider it very good value - as long as all of the TWS stuff is reasonably functional.

Same driver usually doesn't translate into same performance. If the technical performance is anywhere close, I'll jump on them! But considering how great Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and AirPods Pro 2 are, and with proper ANC, the competition is stiff.

True and agreed! But yeah definitely some good competition at the moment. Here’s to hoping the sound doesn’t disappoint.
