I would think it's still bluetooth, which is not exactly famous for its "low latency", and is hit or miss with its quality (depending on the codec and bitrate). If that's all it is, you can connect any wireless buds via bluetooth to any computer with a bluetooth transmitter, which includes all laptops, some PCs, and any PC if you install a PCIe card or USB adapter. I got a PCIe card for my PC that has wifi 6 and bluetooth 5.2 for $70 (Canadian).

If they have actually installed a lower latency tech in the charging case, that's a lot of effort and engineering for a pretty niche use case, but I guess that's the kind of thing you have to do to get noticed in a market so thoroughly dominated by Apple/Google/Samsung.
