Thought I'd share my humble little collection of cans. Just got the HD600s recently, really love em'. Although I do find not a ton of difference between them and the 599s. Only a little more bass and everything sounds more mushy on the 599s, they don't quite expose every little detail like the 600s do. That said I can certainly hear a major difference between the 518s and the 600s. I do wonder that my audio interface isn't quite enough to drive the 600s and if that is why I'm not quite so blown away by them..?

The Razers are just my daily commute headphones, however they make for a solid pair of phones on a budget, good ANC and decent sound stage for closed backs!

Are those Opus 2020 or Opus 2021?

The 2020 ones I'm pretty sure

If they have buttons on both sides they are 2020. It is the better revision. Both soudwise and ANC wise. I have recently bought them for shop that still had them in stock. I have to agree that they are surprisingly good for their price.

Yeah, they are definitely the 2020 ones, then. Got a dodgy ANC button on mine, which is super annoying. Tiny little microswitch has broken, it just about works if you press hard enough.

When looking for ANC headphnes the Opus 2020 seemed to be the single best pair out there, unfortunately not a single shop i could find had them in store so i had to resort to the second best option, a Bose one

and what would that interface be?
May I suggest an AKG 712 next? :D
Also, I'm loving my M1060c opens. They're often on sale and a splendid open planar imo

Using an audient id14 mk1 at the min, there's a noticeable level difference between the hd599s and hd600s. The 712s do look cool, I did think about them for a little bit. Maybe Sennheiser just don't make the phones for me.

didn't know that brand. Seems sweet. Love me a good accessible knob!
One of the major reasons why I'm still lingering over the jds El AMp...
the 712s are a very capable hp with good soundstage, a significant jump from the 600s or 6xxs or 58x. I've had a few encounters and the only gripe is the headband system, but that is something 'easily' modded.
happy music!

Yeah man audient are pretty decent, make some okay mixing desks as well, they're not quite SSL, but are pretty sweet. Definitely will check out the 712s, if I sell some of the others 👍

Perosnally/ I dont think the k712's are well built at all and keep cracking and chipping even though I am super careful with them and dont use them a lot anymore. AKG quality has really gone off the deep end...

on sale, I find their sound is worth it for me.
There's a cup mod somewhere for them around the webz and the headband can be changed. Annoying yes, but, I like the fun of doing it. Sort of kills its second-hand market value though, but understandably

Razer is probably there as a reminder how bloated consumer headphones are.
