So I just bought the soundcore Liberty 3 pro but they haven't arrived yet. I've heard that in the TWS they are amongst the best you can get in terms of sound quality.

One of the biggest reasons for that is their own personal EQ, in their app, that will measure your hearing and personalize an EQ just for you.

So my question is: is this custom EQ better than for example loading the txt file from AutoEQ project into APO for the soundcore Liberty 3 pro? Which one should I use and why?

I've no idea what the "personalized" EQ does so I can't speak to that. The reason to use the AutoEQ presets is because you know you want a Harman tuned headset. I mean, try both and see which one you like. You can't really preempt taste.

Well yes that's the thing, I'm a very new guy to this scene, so for example I used apo autoEQ on my GFs shitty mpow M30 earbuds to try and see the changes, and i noticed almost no difference for some reason except on the lack of base, however when I tried the same thing with wavelet autoEQ on Android it sounded massively different, and i took a bit to get used to the lack of bass in the Harmon target compared to the V shaped tuning of those earbuds, but now everything is more clear and balanced which I prefer (tho on PC with apo and peaces it doesn't seem to Change much).

However this is crappy earbuds we are talking about, i have no idea how the Soundcore personal EQ changes things, and if it's something comparable to the Harmon target tuning. I imagine both are just EQs replicable with a parametric EQ and a lot of trial and error, but i truly don't know

HearID is useless and their proprietary target curve is highly suspect.

Or just EQ by ear to your own preference. Only so much you can do, though. The aggressive and uneven treble can't be fixed in app.

Is it useless? Every review I've heard said that they sounded a bit bassy and harsh but then the HearIQ solved everything and they became amazing. Once they arrive I'll see if crinical was right and if I should have bought the galaxy buds pro instead

This is my personal EQ for Soundcore Liberty 3 pro, to be used along side ANC (without ANC is still OK), and at medium or slightly louder than medium. If you crank this to high volume then everything just gets mushed together.

Wait. I'm new to this. Do EQs perform different depending on how much volume you use the buds? Cause when I see reviews everyone measures how "loud" an IEM or an headphone can be and I'm like "i always use mine at 35% volume max what's going on"

I've used this pair of earbuds for 1 year and this is my one EQ fits all solution (movies , movie soundtrack, kpop, disco, anime music, rock, asmr).

I've noticed that with this eq, when I try to crank thể volume to higher level, the frequencies don't scale up evenly. So at medium volume, it sounds balanced and spacious to my ears. Bút at higher volume, the vocals (human singing voice becomes too close in my face). Hence the remark.

Just try my EQ, and if you don't like, you can always try to make one yourself. That's one of the reasons why I like this pair.

Yeah I'm going to try this, the autoEQ and the HeadIQ and see what I prefer

Loudness is not a good measurement, I think.

You'd want the headphone to sound good at your preference listening level. I determined the listening volume that I prefer, then EQed the earbuds until I like them.

Do you have other tws to compare them to? I bought this but i was very split between them and the galaxy buds pro

I don't have any other TWS to compare, sadly.

Please do not use this with any other EQ or settings like Dolby audio on some android phones. Please turn all those off.
