I love my HD 8xx (with eq), but they feel like they are less open than all the other open back headphones I've tried. They feel more like 1/3 a closed back.

I was wondering if anyone here who has done the sticker mod, or has an HD 800/S, could let me know if they are more open without the stickers.

And to clarify, when I say "open", I mean how much sound it lets through from the outside, not the soundstage.

Yes you can take the stickers out, it's a common mod and it changes the sound significantly.
