Hi

So these headphones came out a long time ago somewhere in 2017.

According to the specs and review they were excellent

Frequency range 5Hz – 45,000Hz

Impedance 38 Ohms

Sample Rate Playback 24-bit 48kHz / 96kHz w/USB cable

Driver 45mm Pure Digital Drive

Bluetooth Codecs aptX HD / aptX / AAC / SBC

so why are these not being updated with some minor but important things like

An updated BT codec and profile would be nice. Like BT 5.2 and APTX Lossless + LDAC support

USB-C charging interface of course

maybe also noise cancellation you could turn on/off

AUX cable port for passive listening.

is there anything even close to this on the market ?

thanks :)

How is a driver "pure digital"? :D The FR is bullshit as well

You don't hear 45k or 5Hz. And it probably produces that frequency barely even

okay, but isn't there something about flattening the frequency curve or something... the reason they put HD audio stamp on the box... or something :)

That stamp doesn't mean shit. It's purpose is to pull money out your pocket

so what would be the frequency range to go for, when looking for HiFi headphones ?

that's an irrelevant parameter to look at.
it's like if for cars you had "number of wheels: 4"
they all produce the frequencies human hearing can interpret.

okay, so its totally irrelevant.... I don't need to look at the frequency range at all ? or is there some parameters woth looking at. I am asking because I am curious about it. most people say there is some form of authentication in the premium headphone space about frequency... but if it is wholly and totally irrelevant, why do they even bother writing anything there.

My wireless daily drivers are ATH-M50xBT2, which have all of those things except ANC. They sound indistinguishable from the original ATH-M50x (as far as I can tell) when using wired mode or LDAC.
