Sounds like a great way to destroy a pair of IEMs

Fair enough, I tested it on my regular kz zex and even with a bass boost I couldn't really hear the bass well and it lost a lot of detail.

I looked it up because of your comment and according to Fiio, longer tube means better low pass filter, so I guess I would just be losing functionality

Get something like an amp or DAC for them with a balance control.

I do have one, but I kind of wanted to make as an extreme difference as possible without ruining the bass

But I'll just get over it and follow your suggestion because my idea massacred my zex lol

You could just try some different tips lol
