Currently I have used Bose qc and Sony xm series, and I have found the that prompt volume is far too loud.

In Bose's case I have could turn off the prompt voice and use the single beep mode. But it's still a bit louder than I wanted. But then the double beep prompt when switch the call mode is so loud that it makes the call mode basically unusable. I could hold it in my hand and still hear the 'beep-beep' loud and clear when doing the switch. What's worse is that it could get triggered accidentally and u just take that beep in your ear.

In Sony's case, the prompt voice is louder than Bose in general. It makes the usage uncomfortable no matter how good ANC is.

Nowadays I am using Anker ANC phone as daily driver instead. It's crappier in both ANC and sound quality. But the prompt volume is the lowest among all and at least I can wear without being surprised by the loud prompt.

Is anyone else being bothered by the loud prompts? I am curious why we are not given the option to turn the volume of the notification down. Also reasonable priced ANC headphone models recommendations without loud prompts are welcomed

Never felt like my Sony WF-1000XM4, Sennheiser MTW 2 or Audeze Penrose were too loud... in fact they were a good reminder of what volume level they are currently set to when putting them on.

Had the xm1s, xm4s, and xm5 and I don't really think the voice prompts are loud at all. Interestingly
