I'd like to share my 1st week impressions with the Letshouer S12 Pro.

After seeing how the planar hype was going throughout the year I decided I would at least try one but the question was, of course, which one. After reading a lot of reviews, impressions, seeing lots of videos and trying to understand a bit of frequency response curves I decided on the S12 but to my surprise, when I was about to get it, Letshouer announced the S12 Pro and I decided to go for it since it has a modular cable. (It shouldn't matter since I don't have anything with a balanced output but at least one day I'll be ready).

Construction: These things look super sturdy and pretty much they seem exactly like the original S12. I think it has a little vent to diminish the pressure it can cause on some people's ears but don't quote me on that.

Comfort: They fit me amazingly well. They stay fit and I can move around a lot and they are well adjusted all the time, and I didn't even have to change tips or anything. Actually, using the stock tips they sounded amazing right out of the box and they isolate sound much better than most IEMs I have. I think it's because I chose the tips that are a little more resistant (as opposed to the softer ones).

Sound: The import part. They sound simply fantastic!
Before trying to describe anything, since I'm bad at it and I still have a lot to learn, I'll just say that while listening to it I simply can't stop singing. It doesn't matter which song I just can't help it. Everything I have listening to on it with vocals sound so good that I get immediately involved in the music.

About details, I'm also impressed. Not just impressed but highly impressed. Among other IEMs I have my other favorites and what I would compare on price/capabilities are the Moondrop Kato and Blessing 2: Dusk, and before I make hasty assumption I will say outright that I love the Kato, possibly more then the Dusk but I honestly thing the S12 Pro is in another league, at least as far as details go when compared to the Kato.
Comparing it to the Dusk is harder. In this aspect I would need to listen more, or maybe even A B test them, but in short, if you went for the cheaper S12 Pro you would not be sad about missing details, in my humble opinion.

Since I said I'm not good at describing the technical stuff (I hope to be one day), I'll use some songs I have been listening to frequently.

  • Hurt by New Jeans: In this song the voices sound so clear, lush warm. It feels like someone is putting you to sleep by massaging your ears. Also, right in the beginning of the song when the drums start, it feels incredible. It feels like you are right there, close to the singers, but seeing (and listening the drummers not too far away).

  • Hype Boy by New Jeans: Another song from the same artist. The sound of the S12 Pro is so inviting to female vocals every time the chorus start I can't help but start singing along.
The little beats the mark the rhythm (sorry, I don't know the name of it) are so good and get you into the groove of the song.

  • Shut Down by BLACKPINK: I'm not a bassy person but here, along the entire song, the bass in in perfect amount. You can feel it but it never crosses with the other ranges of the music. I should even compare it with the Truthear x Crinacle Zero I got recently in which I did like but I thought the bass here was a bit much but with the S12 Pro it is, again, perfect. So good in fact I'm afraid of changing eartips and ruining it lol.

Conclusion: I'll bring this to a close as I planned it to be a first impressions and not a review of sorts, but in short, I'm being pleased with it and I honestly think this is so far, from everything I have listened to, the easiest IEM to recommend to someone without knowing what they prefer to listen.

I'm with you on dusk vs s12, the s12 seems to win on details. The S12 has a bit of a shallow fit for me and the dusk likes to leave a tip in my ear.

"Details" a.k.a Elevated, Spicy Treble

Wouldn't say S12 Pro has that much elevated treble.
