A90D/D90LE stack. Had them mounted under my desk for a bit using command strips, those fell off so I got more heavy duty command strips, still didn't feel so great about that so I searched online for some brackets but they were all the wrong size. Finally I found this which almost perfectly fits them! Feeling much better about how they're mounted now.

I'm not sure how much heat these generate, but just make sure they've got sufficient space to exhaust it.

They get fairly warm but they have some "fins" on the side if you can call them that. No vents on the top nor bottom, so I think it should be fine. Also the brackets make it so it's open on the very bottom and there is still some space on top. Good mention though!

heat rises, so your A90 would be taking most of the heat

I'm also very much enjoying the stack! The bluetooth is really nice when I'm using my work PC which doesn't have my music on it. The knob is also some serious ASMR, love the sound, and no channel imbalances for my very sensitive IEMs.

that is one muscular iem cable

Haha, it's a headphone cable. I enjoy IEMs and headphones alike, today is a headphone day.

Can you link the bracket?

This is the one, it's slightly taller than the stack so I did end up shoving some foam in the top just so it was harder to move it around, but with the feet on the DAC and amp they stay pretty secure, especially if you put the brackets close enough so the front catches. Also I bought separate screws since my desk is too thin for the screws that came with it.

Wouldn't that extra space be useful for dissipating heat?

johnydazzles27s OP t1_ixgs81f wrote

Yea, it's still mostly open on top. I just put a bit of foam in one spot to hold them down and prevent movement.

My concern with this as it is with my own A90/D90 stack is that they tend to get really hot even when not in use but turned on.

Something for the OP to be pay attention to from time to time, especially in summer. Heat is the death of electronics.

Thanks for the concern, it's definitely something I will keep track of. These were too expensive to let die so I'll have to come up with a cooling solution if necessary.

My solution was fairly straight forward, I just decided not to stack them.

Obviously that won't work here if you're trying to hide them under your desk but you could maybe try to find a slimmer version of those rack shelves.

Is that an E/90X on the right? Are you using the same mounting system?

It is indeed an E/90X! For that, it's so light that I can just use command strips to hold it up.

This is genius! I'll be using your idea. I have the Schiit Modius + Magnius + Lokius stack and they take up quite a bit of space on the desk

This is definitely the play with the A90D. My remote struggles when it's on bottom.
