Hello everyone, I bough a Sennheiser Game Zero a few days ago and it just arrived. I was expecting it to be a upgrade from the cheap headphone I currently use (a rebrand of the Takstar HI 2050) to my surprise I feel like it's significantly worse? Is there something that I should be doing that I'm not doing?

use it for a few days, your brain will be adjusting any time you get new headphones. Then try the two out again.

describe worse. I assume your previous one had powerful bass and the g1 has less of it.

What your post says Game One but you said you got a Game Zero. Which is it? I love the Game One's but hated the Zero's.

I’ve never heard of the Game Zero. If it’s what it sounds like, a new budget spin off of the Game One, then I think it could well be shit. I’ve owned and really liked the GameOne, but Sennheiser sold off its gaming headphone division a couple years ago (why they’re “EPOS” now), so if they’ve designed something new, they haven’t necessarily done it to Sennheiser’s standards, and it’s deliberately cheap and directed to gamers. All red flags.

You need an amp/dac and a little eq,buy some soundblaster product.

I don’t know how that would help. The Taskstar have a higher Impedance at 60 ohms than the Sennheiser and they work just fine
