I know about the amazing equalizer it comes with, and I know that it can be convenient to just walk around the room (house?) with only your headphones and the qudelix5k while maintaining good sound quality, but I am wondering if you have one weird, maybe even specific, scenario where you just really like having the Q5k over just walking around with your phone - apple dongle - iems, for example.

Let me know of those times you went "damn, this was an amazing idea" :)

Love it for the gym.

Being able to have the phone on the floor with the Q clipped to my clothing is brilliant.

Way less movement inhibiting.

I use mine wired to an iPhone with an ER4SR on my couch at home. Not exactly a crazy scenario.

How many hours do you get out of it wired on an iPhone? I am considering switching from a BTR5.

I'll use mine for playing console games in the living room. Got a transmitter that could do at least AptX HD and hooked it up to the TV and use that to play my games and use my HE400se's. Plan to eventually do speakers bit figured might as well do this since i already have headphones and I'm the only one who cares about how Xenoblade sounds lol.

I use mine with my Surface Pro X. Since the X uses an Arm processor, EqualizerAPO doesn't work on it (certain types of programs cannot be emulated). So the 5K offers me the EQ options, and also doesn't require music apps to go through the Windows audio stack to be EQed, so I can use exclusive mode in my player without issue.

I try and walk around the neighborhood for about an hour every day. Hook my Radiance up with a ~3ft balanced cable to my Qudelix which I stick in a jacket pocket or clip to my shirt. Works great.

It's just a headphone jack for my phone that doesn't have one.

It's also a BTR7, but same idea applies.

I use it on trail runs and for skateboarding with Tin P1s. They're otherwise awful sounding without an EQ lol. I do have some Penon Vortexes on their way for this duty though. Sold my ES100 for it and don't regret it one bit. What's the point of an EQ if it's not parametric.

I did fall asleep with them once and it wasn't great for that (battery life) lol

I take my XS or ananda with the Go Blu on walks outside.

I really like Bluetooth receivers because half the convenience of wireless to me is not having a cable attached to the phone itself, not necessarily the absence of a cable entirely. Dedicated Bluetooth headphones tend to compromise on sound quality so this is a nice alternative.

Used to have a Qudelix, but I recently got the Go Blu because the volume knob is way more useful to me than the EQ features. Sounds a bit better too.

When I go for walks, I use my S8 connected to the Qudelix 5k instead of the AirPods Pro.

In comparison to ifi go blu imo go blu sounds much better granted you don’t have all the eq settings like the 5k but comparing the sound stage from go blu to 5k I haven’t found anything that sounds better than ifi go blu

I use it at work, via usb to my PC and via BT to my phone. Then at home via BT with my PC. Equalizer set per model of IEM I'm using

I can’t use software EQ at work due to software restrictions on my work laptop. So I use it as a DAC that I feed in to my amp.

I also use it for travel so I can charge my phone and have EQ for whatever IEM I feel like bringing with me over Bluetooth.

Qudelix havers, I’ve wondered why I’m able to hear a difference between output power normal and high. Same 1 RMS, but simply switching between the two output modes, the sound changes. Normal actually sounds louder?Anybody know what’s happening here?
