If you're strapped for cash, no. The AE isn't a straight upgrade and more of a sidegrade. That said if you like more bass, then the extra $40 or so for the AE makes sense to me when you're already spending that amount. You could also wait for a sale. I'm sure it'll drop to like <$200 some time.
