Submitted by SamuraiCinema t3_zvu7x8 in headphones

I love lying in bed and watching a movie in the mornings because my wife wakes up a couple hours ahead of me. But because of that I always use closed back headphones. My problem is I haven't been able to come up with a pillow setup that doesn't interfere with the cups and break my neck at the same time. Anyone else?

I solved my problem by buying a lazy boy recliner in the living room. I no longer watch TV from the bed. Its bad posture.

Would humbly suggest the cheapest hphones for sleep, like These Musicozies. Good enough for movies, and you can actually lay on the side with these. Am using these for audiobooks in bed myself after the in-ears ruined my ears (

Also have something similar and they are perfect for side sleepers. I couldn't really sleep on my side with any headphones or Iems, but these are very comfortable. They don't have amazing sound quality, but for $20, you can't go wrong.

Yep, one should not expect hifi quality from these, but they do the job just fine, and this formfactor is the only one I found to work well in bed. On/over ears for obvious reasons raised by OP, iems would still be protruding and making your ears uncomfortable.

Roll a towel or blanket up and shape it into a ring, put head on it. There are pillows available for listening with headphones, I suspect that their original purpose is for sitting comfortably after certain types of surgery or childbirth.

Honestly, I’d say just get a pair of IEMs.

I forgot to clarify that IEMs don't feel comfortable to me. But I do use my XM4s once in a while.

Maybe just some Earbuds then. Ive actually switched to IEMs completely from headphones and have since switched to Earbuds full time and I love it.

I started with VE Monks Plus which are a mids focused bud and then upgraded to some TGXEar Tantulus which are TOTL mids focused buds with a similar but more detailed sound.
