There is no information about the original earpads of the ATH-R70x and how to buy one, so I bought one myself.

First, get their support email from your local service center at https://www.at-globalsupport.com/, and ask them nicely how to buy one. If they ignored your email or there are no service centers at your location, try to email the nearest one. They will help you find a local distributor that can help you.

They guided me to a local distributor. After some email exchanges with the distributor, they offered me one side of the earpad for $23, and a pair for $46, with no import or extra fees. After one month, they were delivered.

The packaging looks underwhelming. I guess because they were repair parts for the service center.

The original earpads of ATH-R70x with their part number.

There are part numbers handwritten outside:

Left: P#135307800

Right: P#135307810

The earpads look and feel just like the ones that came with the headphone. No dust, no hair, no weird smell.

Thanks for the info! I initially returned my R70xs, even though I liked them, because I couldn’t find the pads or other parts to buy on the web and I doubted the longevity that way, but it’s good to know that there are ways.

You're welcome! I was pretty surprised that they offered support for such unpopular headphones. Before this, I thought I would have to order directly from Japan.

When I wrote Audio-Technica to get replacement parts for the headband, I was able to order those from them.

It seems like they would sell you earpads, too, but that impression could be wrong.
