The headphones are 38 ohms, they said that this m50x whit dac amp sounds way better but a youtuber said he used a portable ifi dac amp and he didn't notice too much diference, i was planning to buy the fiio btr5 because my headphones dont require much power, can you guys tell me if i need and amp dac and if yes do i buy the fiio btr5 or can you recomend me another portable dac?

They’ll run fine off anything.

Only get one if you want the Bluetooth capability. I’d advise the Quidelix 5k over the BTR.

I'd suggest you spend that on a different headphone to have a different sound. It's not really necessary with those.

My friend bought recently an m50x he has no dac amp, so I've gave him to try Fiio E10K to see if he needs it or not, after trying it he wanted to buy it off me as I've told him that I may upgrade in the near future. So I think it does improve the sound. As for btr5 I think it will suffice for m50x also try to get qudelix 5k it.s much better if you put the aesthetics aside.

I'm confused -- you ask about a Bluetooth dac/amp. Do you want to make them wireless? I'd just get some Bluetooth headphones.

M50x can be driven by anything. If you plan to use them wired, so long as your source isn't terrible you don't need an amp. They won't benefit by having one.

They don’t need an amp. They benefit from a good dac but it is not necessary

I may be wrong, but the M50’s became popular and earned their reputation before satandalone DACs’n Amps were even a thing.

No, but I highly recommend EQing them.
