As the title says, I’m thinking of adding a modmic wireless to my LCD-GX but was worried it’ll cause a channel imbalance and the magnets from the modmic damage the planars. Any insight is appreciated and thanks in advance!

Its safe, and doesn't affect sound. I've used one and had no issues.

Magnets are a bit weaker than the planar magnets, and even the small gap from the magnet to the vents is enough to dramatically weaken magnet strength to not be an issue.

When 2 magnets come close to each other they start to demagnetize and the affect can be permanent... this can cause channel imbalance. I wouldn't risk it.

And if you are playing on controller, you could just clip the mic to your shirt?
