Hello everyone

My current setup is a Galaxy S22U, pair of Shure SE535's and a Fiio BTR3. I test ran the BTR5 and found to my ear, no difference so I returned it. All songs downloaded through Amazon Music using their premium subscription where you get the highest bitrate Amazon offer.

My SE535's are still Phenomenal and I'm not saying I will upgrade, but I am thinking about it as its been 5 years since I bought these 535's and I imagine a lot has changed in the audio world in that time.

Are there any mind-blowing upgrades I should be looking into that will make a noticeable difference to my music listening experience? Particularly in the amp, has to be Bluetooth, I just picked up the BTR3 on a whim as I had a good experience with Fiio amps in the past

If you’re happy with your 535, you don’t need to upgrade. As for Bluetooth amps, if you want something with tons of features, check out the Qudelix 5K. Otherwise. The FiiO BTR5 is very good.

Any technical improvements between something like the BTR3 and a "better" one like the Qudelix disappear thanks to Bluetooth compression anyway. They are very, very minor at the best of times even when wired.

As far as IEMs go, something like the Moondrop Blessing 2 will blow your SE535 out of the water and provide a significant upgrade.

You don't need to upgrade for the sound, the BTR3 is powerful enough to drive any IEM. Update if you need a feature that yours doesn't have.

Had a BTR5, now I have a Qudelix 5k. Sound is the same (as it should be ffs), but the experience is much better, the app is constantly upgraded, with new features, lots of options, eq working with USB/BT is great. Really couldn't be happier
