Greetings, y'all.

Was wondering, since it's been quite a long time that the Moondrop Chu has been out in the market, and idea if the paint chips away like the Aria? I'm extremely tempted to get it mainly for the Spring tips, but would definitely like to know if it's not troublesome to use the Chu themselves.

Thank you for your time! You guys are always the best.

Yeah, my paints chipped a bit. I wouldn't say it's SUPER bad or anything. I've had mine for a few months, and notice just on the sharp corners there's def some wear on the paint there

I wouldn't say it's troublesome. Pretty standard wear and tear. And for the $30 I got them for, I can't really be upset at that. I absolutely love them

Man, so it's not like Aria-level bubbling away and flaking pieces off? I'm trying to accept wear and tear, I just am really hesitant of the paint just melting away from use

I've had arias for a few years and I only have the slightest chipping. Makes we wonder how folks are managing to get them to do that!

I'm hearing a whole lotta stuff. From spontaneous chipping, to humidity, to the paint reacting to the oil of their skin. I actually almost bought a secondhand set of the Aria from a real nice dude, but then he informed me that the paint chipped when he was trying to wipe it clean with wet wipes.

it's not a big deal, weird looking at first but then it gets bigger and looks ok. These are a great pair of IEMs, I would still use them daily if the cable wasn't in a bad condition. totally worth it
