I considered that. It certainly doesn’t seem strong enough to be able to pull them out of the shell or the case though. I guess more just for getting them in place?

I've got one of these with a qdc Neptune. Try sticking it inside the carrying case on the side of it.
In my instance it's just to hold the cleaning tool inside the case.
