Funnily enough, my KSC75 also died after around a month. Had PortaPros die on me before after fairly short amount of time. Then a wire ripped out after a moderate accidental tug on another pair. KOSS build quality/reliability is not what i would call good.

I don't wanna be rough on loss because they DO make good headphones. but one month of usage before breaking is straight up manufacturing future trash

I had a pair of ksc last me 2 years with daily use falling asleep with them on. My Porta pro have yet to break on me after 1 year of daily use as my otg headphone. It not hard to not break them, just treat the stuff you own with respect.

bruh I just opened my KSC75, they came with a defect from the factory
Fukuramichan t1_j6jg99l wrote
What is the defect, I have like 15 pairs and have only seen one pair that was from mass drop that had a defect.

Yikes, I've never seen one come like that. Bad luck my dude.
olqerergorp_etereum OP t1_j6jjdmt wrote
indeed, VERY back luck 😔
KOSS said I could send them back to them, but guess what, it's much much more expensive for me to do that, than to buy another pair from Amazon.
unless I find a way to fix this myself (or meet someone that can), this is a F for me.
what a shame

Looks like an easy fix to me, 1 minute solder job

I'll try to take a better photo for you to see, ok you tell me if you think they're fixable

Yeah, that cable just needs desoldered, twisted, then soldered back and it should be good
olqerergorp_etereum OP t1_j6jmovk wrote
well that sounds easily enough, I'll see if I can find someone to do the job for me for cheap, but that's another problem on it's on.
once fixed, how do you think I can prevent this from happening again?
Fukuramichan t1_j6jnjeq wrote
It probably came like that so it shouldn't happen again if it's resoldered the correct way
olqerergorp_etereum OP t1_j6jo0ja wrote
okay, thanks.
I saw some videos were people fill that cavity with super glue or something like that's i thought they did that so they prevent the cables from snapping

Conversely, for the price, I'd say the build is excellent.
