That's really not how that works. If you want more bass, get an EQ.

That's not how DAC works. Different ear tip might help. Some ear-tips lower the treble extension which in turn increase the perception of the lower end. Few notable example such as the Final E ear tip, Spinfit CP500 etc

Unless your Hexa is underpowered even the bassiest DAC dongle wouldn't give it basshead level slam

It IS underpowered, but i would like to aquire a dongle that could give It a boost even If little, without messing the treble.

You gotta understand that’s it’s ridiculously hard to underpower an IEM.

The Max volume on my Cell phone is low.

Well that's a red flag for hearing damage. Hopefully your phone really is underpowered.

It IS, i have a sandinsk clip ++ that even the 7hz zero i cant get UP to 70%

Ok really? If you're cranking volume up to 70% of maximum just to be able to hear it you really should see a doctor about it. Most generally decent people here would say the same thing - hearing damage sucks and losing it would be even worse.

If you insist on a dongle, the Qudelix 5K comes with a great equalizer that you can use to tweak the bass closer to your liking. It’s about $100 and offers great value in power and features for that price. It will also connect to your phone via Bluetooth, and you can clip it to your clothing for something closer to a wireless experience than you normally get from an IEM.

Qudelix 5k. ifi GoBlu has a bass boost function, although I'm not sure what the noise performance is with that, as I haven't tried the combination.

I have the hexa myself. Even an eq won't solve the characteristics. I guess because of the vented DD. It's a great iem but bass just isn't its strong suit

What tips do you use?

The Wavelet dunu Titan preset is enough for me.

But my phone underpowers It, so i would like to buy a dongle dac that do not increase treble and since i'm already for the buy, to give a little boost on bass.

Or a neutral cheap dongle.

qudelix5k and use the app to give yourself a nice bass shelf :)

How about EQ? Wavelet for android. No DAC/dongle needed.

kazuviking t1_j5p21b7 wrote

Increase the output impedance of the dongle and it increases the bass as well.

I don't think that's necessarily true with IEMs. Haven't seen the Hexa measured but the Blessing 2 (which I hear these are knockoffs of) would give you more upper mids and treble with higher source impedance, the impedance rises between 2.5khz-10khz or so.

(could be affecting OP, depending on how shitty his phone is!)

THX ONYX portable dac/amp. its small and you can use it with phone laptop/pc/mac. It will probably power every headphone you will ever buy to a nice listening experience.

sharkoon gaming dac pro s v2 - dont let the term "gaming" confuse you, its just marketing. Only problem with this dac/amp is a hissing noise when you try to power low impedance headphones like 8-30 ohm. otherwise its one of the best bang for buck
