I use Galaxy Buds Pro with my S22 Ultra. Everything is kept it default settings. No equalizer profile is being used. I listen to songs from YouTube on this often. Recently I've been using the buds with an Iphone SE 2020 and idk why I am feeling a bit of difference. I prefer the sound when its paired with the iphone. I believe the DACs are on the earbuds itself ( or maybe I'm wrong ). The whole thing can be placebo too.

NB: I generally listen to my personal lossless collection on Hiby R6 Pro with Dunu DK 3001 Pro.

different AAC encoders, maybe some system level EQ/DSP on the android, otherwise no.

Galaxy Buds Pro with Galaxy S22 - it's likely that Samsung Scalable Codec is used, not AAC. So I think it's system DSP that makes any difference.

If your tws support ldac you will have to tell Android to use it. Each flavor has its own verbage for it. Some actually say ldac others say higher quality over connection. Look in the Bluetooth settings to select this. Android only though. I think Apple only supports aac.

Android chooses the best codec available by default. LDAC is nothing special if you have an Apple device because AAC there sounds very good.

The pairs of TWS I've used don't play as loud on my iPhone as they do on my Android phone, 100% volume on iPhone seems like around 60% on Android. Even very small differences in loudness can seem like a difference in quality, louder tends to sound more impressive to my ears.
