I bought them about 4 months ago. I have to sleep in them due to neighbour noise, and this is why the earpads are now thin and squashed, so the pinners of my ears really ache.

I saw a video where the MX4 could be changed, but there is nothing I can find about this model.

Or maybe I could use the warranty? I'd welcome any thoughts.

you can change them. On the Dekoni website, they sell earpads for the XM5s. If they are too expensive for you, Google is your friend.

You couldn’t find anything probably because you keep misspelling it. It’s XM5 not MX5.

Read it as “1000X Mark 5”, as in the 5th version of the 1000X model.

But yeah, apart from PlayStation, Sony is never good with product names.
