I was wondering if it's still possible to downgrade to iOS 15. I am considering updating my iPhone 13 Mini, but I am worried that I won't like the new update. I was thinking I could update my phone, and if I don't like it, then I can just downgrade back to iOS 15. However, I want to know if that is still possible. I know it was possible to downgrade for a while.

Thank you so much! I might give it a try if I end up updating and not liking it.

Keep in mind downgrading to 15.6 RC may break icloud drive functionality. The fix is after restoring to 15.6 RC, backup to icloud then restore from icloud.

nope it's not possible, even with saved shsh blobs you're unable to downgrade (for now)

They just stop signing iOS 16.3.

Officially…. No. Apple stopped signing 15 a long time ago.

Unofficially, yeah you could find the right iOS file etc etc, but that requires knowledge of the subject. How confident are you with computers?

Pretty confident. I'm a Comp Sci student!

Poke around forums and see if anyone has a signed copy of iOS 15 ipsw’s. Chances are slim but possible. From there just look up how to restore manually from a designated ipsw via iTunes.

I usually get my IPSW files from ipsw.me

My days of fuckin with non-public software files are behind me. I stick to the current release for peace of mind. Good luck in the hunt

I believe you will also need blobs. The JB subreddit might be able to help with that.

it isn’t possible to downgrade modern iPhones once Apple stops signing

Seems like getting iOS 15 on your phone would be a huge pain, not really worth it if you ask me.

iOS 16 is fine at this point. There are some people running around shouting about how iOS 16 is just as bad as iOS 11, but they are truly full of it.

As a computer science student, you should more than know that being on the latest software patch for an operating system is always the best policy to have for security reasons alone.

Let me tell you if you live the east function of the AirPods state the eff away from the update.

I have a 14 pro and it’s been a nightmare getting everything to act like it did before the update. That being said some other things do work better, though I can’t tell you immediately what they’ve been.

Maybe wait a while..?
