This weird checkered circle appeared on my friend’s iPhone X top left corner, and since then she can’t turn off or unlock it for use. Anyone knows what is this? We tried to find the answer all over the forums and can’t find any similar situation.

Never seen this in ANY documentation. Is the device a “managed” device? What happened before the circle aapeared? Install any new software? Try the force restart? >> vol-up, vol-dn, power buttons to try and force restart.

She was using it normally. We did the force restart and it’s gone. Tks!

Looks like screen calibration or something. Might have just glitched into it. I see it's resolved now, but yeah force restarting can usually solve odd issues like this.
