Hi everybody, I just want to know if what I’m experiencing/experienced both with my IPhone 14 Pro and old IPhone 11 is normal. Sometimes it happens that I notice the screen got dimmer even though the brightness is all the way up, True Tone and automatic brightness disabled. Then I touch the phone and it seems slightly hotter, and I notice that maybe I was running many apps at the same time, playing a 4k video/uploading it on Instagram, listening to music for hours. Then I close all the tabs and it goes back to normal within seconds. Is it normal or it’s some malfunctioning?

It's normal. The phone will automatically throttle the processor and reduce brightness to stop it from overheating.

Normal - but also not often the case so I wonder what you’re doing and “where” - must be hot there or your case is also too thick etc.

It happened in the car last time, and I can remember it happened with different types of cover. It also happened while I was running a VR video. It doesn’t happen too often of course but I don’t remember this happened with my cheap android phones ( 150$ or so) and I don’t understand why

Car could be the heat - VR video could actually be quite intense if the resolution is high. Your cheap android phone probably doesn’t even have the power and brightness to begin with so it doesn’t need to throttle.
