wym by peak brightness is low and camera quality is low compared to newer phones? Are you saying both of them are bad objectively speaking? like are the photos and videos bad for casual point-and-shoot and then for social media and is the display also bad like can you not see it good during sunlight?

I had a POCO F3 but I broke it and compared with that camera quality in my opinion the XS in way below and screen brightness is not even close. I mainly use my phone outside I barely use it at home or at work so screen brightness is a key factor to me. Direct sunlight the XS is bad when compared what I was used to and photo quality social media posting isn’t my thing last weekend went on a road trip with my friends and the photos I took was by far the worst of the group so would be a nice upgrade but not as important as brightness I would say

13 Mini def has a have a much better camera and it’s brightness is barely higher at 800 nits vs the XS 625 nits. However, on the camera just be warned it doesn’t have the zoom lens so you will be taking digital zoom shot instead of optical it instead it has an ultrawide lens

Zoom isn’t an issue never had trouble with lack of zoom. Sorry to bother you but I’m trying to decide between the 13 mini regular 13 or the pixel 7. The 13 mini to me as advantages due to the smaller size but the battery life worries me. Waiting and keep using my XS is an option but I would like to upgrade it any time soon

it does have better battery than the XS but if u wanna be safe the 13 is a good choice

also the pixel has the same thing with its camera so take it as you will. all are good choices, just depends what u want
