Just got my new unlocked iPhone at the Store a week ago.

Amazing. Upgraded from the XR to this and the boot up time felt like something from the year 3000, and the three cameras made me feel like a seasoned photographer.

But there’s just one hiccup: my keyboard will randomly go from typing what I click to switching to the symbols and numerals layout and inserting random characters that aren’t what I wanted. So unless I’m misclicking randomly, it happens somewhat frequently.

LOL. My upgrade path is the same, and I think I can guess what your issue is.

Do you type mostly one-handed, and that too with your left hand? I ask because in my case, I’ve discovered that my palm right around the thumb has been touching the 123 key on the left bottom corner randomly, especially if I’m reaching towards the right-side keys.

One solution is to enable left-handed or right-handed keyboards. Instructions: https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/type-with-the-onscreen-keyboard-iph3c50f96e/ios

If you do this, then you can minimize palm contact.

When was haptic feedback added l? Has there always been haptic feedback? Been using iPhone for 13 years and never noticed that option lol. You learn something new every day.

Ahh I see. Too bad there’s no way to adjust the intensity of it but I’ll take it!

Same. I'd like a bit more feedback, as I'm used to Android phones I've used earlier to have better haptics.

I’ll check this out. Might be my fingers playing up during the typing. Thanks.
