You can use accessibility settings to have assisted touch turned on. It puts a floating box on the screen with buttons instead of using gestures. It’s ugly but effective and there is a back button AND a home button.

Where is this setting in the assisted touch menu for back button? I see gestures but i cant use those as a replacement for back swipe

Yeah. Same. This would actually work but I cannot find the back gesture.
