Yeah I saw someone post in r/ that they will frequently accept Uber Eats orders and mark food as being delivered but just eat the food. I can only imagine someone accepting an Apple order and doing this. There has to be something they can do for an order to not be marked as delivered until the customer accepts it in the app. I have never used Uber Eats or Doordash but if I ever do I guarantee it won’t be for a $2000 purchase.

I’ve ordered groceries through Uber Eats before where the driver needs to enter a passcode to mark it as delivered, and they can only get that passcode from me once they physically hand it to me.

Seems like a simple enough solution. Wonder why this isn’t implemented through Apple deliveries.

The thing is it was most likely not an option. I also had this happen to me with another website where I just picked same day delivery because I needed hardware for a project. A few minutes after ordering I got a separate sms from DoorDash about my delivery. At no point did they mention they would ship with DoorDash
