Because Facebook takes over the audio, likely due to an auto-play setting being on or Facebook just being shit.

Is there any way to fix this? I can’t find an auto play option in FB settings.

Blame Facebook, honestly. Some apps just auto-hijack the audio when they’re used. Most games, for example.

It sucks that iPhone doesn’t provide a way to prevent audio hijacking.

It’s not “iPhone” that needs to prevent it. It’s just how some apps are designed.

Blame Facebook.

Apple approves the apps. So they approve of audio hijacking by not only Facebook, but other apps as well without providing a native way to override this.

You can blame Facebook if you want, but I buy my phone from Apple and it’s the platform that should prevent the apps it allows on their platform to perform certain functions that causes a negative user experience. I blame Apple.

Thanks for proving you don’t understand how apps work.

Well, everyone is happy then! Glad to hear it!

And that Facebook, and not Apple, was at fault. :)
