Very possible that cable was the culprit, I mean mfi cables are telling when to stop charging and possible this couldn’t do it no more 🤷♂️

That’s not how this works. The phone tells the charger when to stop charging not the cable

Yeah what I meant is they communicating and possible the communication is poor not as in mfi certified ones

The phone will lower the wattage that it’s allowing „inside“ the battery. Either the charger does it or the phone will not charge anymore
So phone charges at 18w in the beginning wants to drop it down to 9w when almost full (80%). The charger either says „sure I can do that“ and provides the 9w or the charger doesn’t answer and the phone stops charging.
MFI is basically a seal of approval that it will 100% work as intended

Either way, that is an easy fix that I am just going to do proactively, I just usually kept the Apple cable at my desk so my phone can charge quicker, but I am going to move it next to my bed
