I have put at screen time app limit for tiktok on 30 minutes. But it simply doesen’t work. I don’t have this problem for reddit, youtube or any other app, when the 30 minutes are out the app gets blocked. But tiktok is still unlimited time despite the screen time app limit. I tried restarting the phone and deleting and rediwnloading tiktok and setting a new app limit, but it doesen’t help.

Why is this?

TikTok is Chinese data collection garbage. Do yourself and your mental health a favor: delete your account and then delete the app. You’ll thank me later.

This goes the same for all social media such as Reddit, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, etc. They’ve been collecting our data for years and TikTok is no different. I also think it would be a waste of money for China to create an app just to collect people’s data in the US. Our data has been for sale on the internet for years! If China really wants it that bad then just buy it. What’s next? Are you gonna tell me that TikTok is listening to me? That’s a BS answer because your Alexa, Google Home, Siri, iPhone, and same goes with all social media/websites are also listening to us. And who knows what these US companies are doing with our data! They could be selling it to china for all we know. The TikTok ban thing is the biggest scam of 2023. When did the government care for our security?! Like never! If they think TikTok is a national security issue, we might as well ban the whole f*cking web and every tech device because they are all made in China! Also did you forget that China owns land in the US? All this is a scam! It’s all about money 😡😡😡 And don’t tell me that I should trust the US government with my data more than China. I don’t trust any kind of government with my data!

So just keep letting them? That seems like a bad idea. Yes, those other platforms mine your data too. But TT is directly linked to China, and you'd be amazed what they can learn from you. Plus, they serve the worst most mind-numbing content to America -- they would never let their own citizens see that dreck.

I repeat: delete your account then the app.
