Was just perusing my credit card statement and noticed a charge for an app. It wasn’t linked to my account so I checked my sons ipad and sure enough there it was. There is no credit card linked in his Apple wallet though.

I tested it out by purchasing another cheap app and it let me purchase it. How do I unlink my credit card that is seemingly not even linked to this account?

Yes. But purchase sharing isn’t turned on, nor is the “share your payment method” located within it.

I’d check again. Toggle purchase sharing. Because that’s what is happening.

Might want to upgrade to 16.4. Bug Fixes:

Addresses an issue where Ask to Buy requests from children could fail to appear on the parent's device.

I would also check all settings to ensure that you have not made it easy for your kids to make purchases.

if the iPad is running an old version of iOS 16, update to 16.4, it fixes the issue
