I use magic erasers to remove gloss from some of my tech products, I don’t think that’s the best option if OP doesn’t want to ruin their phone’s shiny black finish

Don't use a magic eraser, magic erasers are ~3,500 grit sandpaper if I remember correctly. Fine for anything that's not shiny but not jet black paint.

Oh and I'd try some car polish on a microfiber rag. I'd also check youtube and see if anyone has done that. I'd assume it's similar to automotive paint.
