My iPhone 8 stopped being able to make calls or send texts. It can’t seem to find data either. WiFi works, so iMessage is okay. I’ve tried restarting, resetting network settings, removing and putting back the SIM card. Any ideas? Thank you!

ETA Seems to be working again!

Did you test the SIM in another phone or is the SIM locked due to needing a SIM PIN?

Tested in another phone (Android), it was able to make calls

Any dust/dirt/fluid in the SIM slot? Did you recently manhandle the phone?

If not you will probably have look for a phone shop and have it checked.

None of that but service came back! Hopefully it stays. Thanks for asking.

Have you tried to reboot the iPhone. This happens to my wife XR ( I believe) from time to time.

This happens on my 12 mini. Toggle on/off airplane mode works for me.
