I just upgraded from the 13 pro max to the 14 pro max and the weight difference is really noticeable. It’s day 2 and I find the 14 to be uncomfortably heavy.

I’m sure like everything in life, I’ll get used to it but I wonder if other people who upgraded are feeling the same?

Edit: To correct that I updated from a 13 Pro Max

Which phone did you upgrade from? Your text is confusing. I went from the 12 Promax to the 14 Pro because of the weight. The additional battery life wasn’t a concern for me. My issue is muscle memory as I know have to adapt to a smaller keyboard.

I’m assuming you mean 13 Pro Max to 14 Pro Max

I also did the same and it feels the same weight to me. The specs say different

Did you “upgrade” to a different color? Maybe that’s what made the difference in weight.

Yes. Thank you. Just edited my post. It really really feels uncomfortably heavier.

Edit: just weighed my son’s 13 pro max and my 14 on a kitchen scale and they were within 2 grams of each other. So not sure why it feels heavier.

Apple says the weight of the 13PM is 8.46 ounces (240 grams) and 14PM is 8.47 ounces (240 grams)… 🤔

It may feel a bit heavy in the first couple of days, but you’ll get used to it. I upgraded of the iPhone 6; the 14 Pro Max is, needless to say, noticeably heavier and bigger. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now and I must say I find the experience to be quite smooth and nothing too uncomfortable.

Yep and just weighed them both on my kitchen scale and they are a gram apart.

I’m thinking that maybe it has something to do with the weight of the new camera module and this the way it feels in my hands.

Yes. Different color. This is the new black (whatever they call it ) and my 13 was the blue. But weighed them and they are the same weight. I’m thinking it’s the balance of the weight with the new camera module but honestly don’t know

Went from the SE2 to the 14P... I definitely noticed a big weight change lol.

Not gonna lie, I hated it at first. I was very comfortable with using my thumb to reach everything on the screen so easily and it was so light. This was a huge jump for me that I'm still getting used to. It feels like I'm carrying a brick in my hand and feels big in the pockets. But, like you said, I'm getting used to it very quickly and I really appreciate the beauty of the phone.

I would love there to be an iPhone 1X Pro Mini, but one can only dream... or work their way to the top of Apple and make this a reality.

I just got my 14PM a couple days ago and it weighs 60g more than my old OnePlus 8. It’s also wider. I honestly don’t notice it, the weight feels balanced to me. 🤷‍♂️
