That’s sounds more like a hardware defect than anything. I had an e-SIM on my 13 Pro active the whole time and now with the 14 Pro Max no issues whatsoever.

I was noticing my phone losing service on my Verizon and TMO ESIMS on my 14 pro max every once in awhile. Since updating to 16.1 I haven't noticed it.

I’m not much sure about it. But I think it’s more to do with the modem than with the type of sim. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

There is no difference with reception if you use a physical SIM or eSIM. Which version of iOS are you on? Make sure you are updated to 16.1. If you continue to have issues, try a factory reset. If that doesn’t help contact Apple as it could be a hardware issue.

There will be zero difference between esim and physical sim as far as your network activity.

Return/exchange/replace. It isn’t esim.

I've had an esim for 3 years and never had an issue. Unless of course your carrier is piss poor in general.

eSim stands for embedded sim and sim cards only contain the cryptographic keys to connect you the network securely. Your issue isn't eSim it's likely a modem issue. Make sure to update to latest iOS versions to get modern updates.

If you still have issues, you might have a hardware defect.
